Q2 2021 Performance of Top Tabletop Board Games on Android in France

In the second quarter of 2021, the tabletop board games category saw interesting trends on the Android platform in France. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers a closer look at the performance of the top five applications in this genre.

Chess - Play and Learn from Chess.com maintained a consistent revenue trend with a slight decline towards the end of the quarter, from around $10K to $6.5K. The downloads showed a decreasing trend from 10K to 5K, while weekly active users also saw a gradual decline from 131K to 104K.

Chess by Chess Prince demonstrated a minimal revenue, peaking at $26 in a week, but the focus remained on the downloads and active users. Downloads started at around 7K, reaching a peak of 9K, and then slightly reduced to 6K. Active users had a slight uptick in May but generally hovered around 112K to 122K.

Tic Tac Toe Glow: 2 Players from Arclite Systems saw negligible revenue figures, with weeks showing $0. The app’s downloads were strongest in early April at around 9K, subsequently decreasing to around 4.6K. Weekly active users peaked at 39K in mid-April but later stabilized to around 30K.

Gametion Technologies’ Ludo King™ experienced fluctuating revenue, from a high of $1.4K to a low of $152. Downloads remained above 4K throughout the quarter, with a high of 7.8K in mid-April. Active users showed a slight decline from 45K to 43K.

Lastly, YAHTZEE With Buddies Dice Game by Scopely had a mixed revenue trend, starting at $4.7K and ending at around $4.7K, with peaks and valleys throughout the quarter. Downloads decreased from 4.5K to just under 3K, and weekly active users followed a similar pattern, starting at 36K and dipping to around 37K by the end of June.
